All Church Picnic … Sunday, September 7 … following 9 a.m. worship
The Board of Elders has suspended the traditional Ice Cream Social for now, and has been planning an All Church Picnic for Sunday, September 7, following our 9 a.m. worship. This is the Sunday after Labor Day. Therefore, worship will be at 9 a.m. for one more Sunday than has been our latest tradition.
The picnic itself will be a potluck meal served inside (Bohnsack Hall) with the option of eating indoors or outside. Dessert will be provided: Ice Cream Sundaes.
There will be many activities for all age groups following our meal. Sally Stocks, Sabrina Sellnow, and Erica Rowoldt will be planning children’s games and relays. We are working on obtaining a dunk tank (Pastor Barb has already volunteered to sit above the tank and let people take their chances on dunking her!) There will be cards, puzzles, and games for adults – or the opportunity to sit and chat with one another.
We are inviting members of the near-by Moravian congregations to join us: Ebenezer, Lake Mills, London, and Mamre.
Please mark this on your calendar now so the date doesn’t slip away. Sunday School, as well as the fall/winter/spring worship schedule, will begin the following week: 8 and 10:15 a.m. worship, with Sunday School at 9 a.m.
