To Complete the shawl: Choices for finish: Single crochet (sc) around entire shawl with body color or contrasting color of material (can lend finishing touch and/or draw elements of shawl together) Finish with fringe as desired [3” fringe recommended, requires 6” pieces of material/folded in half & looped thru] Knit (crochet) until the piece measures from wrist to wrist, minimum of approximately 57-58" (Knitting: bind off with a knit row; Crocheting: end with row of single crochet). TIPS/SUGGESTIONS FOR FRINGE: (visit website: www.shawlministry.com for visual suggestion for placement & make-up) IF DYE LOT CHANGE IS NECESSARY--utilize the “changed lot number” material for fringe LEFTOVER MATERIAL (after shawl body is completed or ??choose to make fringe before beginning the last skein) If amount of material leftover is limited…divide the material equally for 4-corners and slip knot to each corner. YARN MANUFACTURED “LOOSELY WOUND”--knot the ends of the fringe (to keep it from unraveling) |
